Every coworking website says some version of “we saw a gap in the market.” Ours started a little closer to home. We were working from kitchen tables that doubled as dinner tables, coffee shops where the wifi dropped right before a client call, and home offices that were really just a laptop and good intentions.
It wasn’t sustainable, and we knew we weren’t the only ones dealing with it. So we did what small business owners tend to do when something isn’t working: we built the solution ourselves, figuring a few hundred other South Edmonton entrepreneurs could probably use it too.

We’re not tech founders who cashed out and decided coworking sounded fun. We’re small business owners, same as you — the kind who’ve done our own books at midnight, second-guessed a pricing decision in the shower, and celebrated a good month with takeout instead of champagne. We know what it’s like to want a “real” workspace without wanting a “real” office lease that locks you in for five years and a kidney.

We picked Ellerslie on purpose. South Edmonton has been quietly filling up with entrepreneurs, consultants, and small teams who’ve had enough of driving downtown for a desk. We wanted to build something close to home — literally, for a lot of our members — because your commute shouldn’t be longer than your actual workday.
